In a major crackdown on drug trafficking, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has arrested a supplier in Hojai, Assam on Friday with contraband tablets valued at nearly Rs 6 crore. The arrest took place during a targeted raid carried out by NCB officials.
The accused, identified as Santosh Kumar, was transporting the illegal tablets via the Nagaon Express when he was intercepted. According to the authorities, the consignment was being moved from Dimapur and was intended for delivery to another state.
Following the seizure, officials confiscated the entire stock of tablets and took the suspect into custody. Therefore, the Narcotics Department has launched a deeper investigation to uncover the broader network behind the trafficking operation. Further details waited.
