GOOD BYE PARIS, BATON PASSES TO LOS ANGELES FOR 2028 OLYMPIC GAMES

The Greatest Show on Earth has finally come to an end. Paris Olympics 2024 ended last night (August 11, 2024) with a star -studded closing ceremony at the Stade de France in Paris with the passing of the baton to Los Angeles, host of the 2028 Olympics Games.

The closing ceremony saw some of the biggest stars in action, including Grammy-winning singer H.E.R.s rendition of the US national anthem and Tom Cruise’s gravity+defying stunt.

After that a cyclist carried the Olympic flag to ace American sprinter Michael Johnson, who was seen jogging through the streets of Los Angeles, before being handed over to skate boarding champion Jagger Eaton.

While the US topped the medal tally with 126 medals, China finished second with 91.Host France was placed fifth with 64 medals. And India had to be content with 71spot.

India’s double bronze -winning shooter Manu Bhaker and hockey goalkeeper PR Sreejesh carried the country’s national flag at the closing ceremony.
