Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has announced that he will resign from the post in the next two days. Two days after he was granted bail and walked out of prison after six months, Kejriwal made this shocking announcement at a party meeting on Sunday.

The AAP leader said that a party leader will be named Chief Minister after his resignation. He said that he would go among the people and ask for their support. Kejriwal also demanded that the elections in Delhi, scheduled for February, be held in November along with the polls in Maharashtra.

Kejriwal criticised the Modi government in his speech to the AAP workers. He said it was more dictatorial then the British. He also added that he will not resign as Chief Minister despite being arrested because he wanted to save democracy.
