Escalating the ongoing unrest in Manipur, a bomb exploded inside the residence of Manipur Minister K Vashum in Ukhrul on Saturday night.
Vashum, who serves as the Minister of Veterinary and Animal Husbandry and Transport, is a key figure in the NPF, a coalition partner with the ruling BJP in the state. Fortunately, the minister was not present at his residence at the time of the blast. And no casualties were reported after the incident.
The incident has raised concerns about the security of political figures in the State. Investigations are underway to determine the motives behind the attack.
