In almost every alternative or third or fourth post on Facebook today, there is the sudden and effortless appearance of Archita Phukan. Widely trending on social media, Assam’s very own ‘Babydoll Archi’ can’t be avoided. In reels, she appears almost instantly—scantily clad, in erotic poses. Rumors of her meeting with world-renowned pornstar Kendra Lust in Michigan and her alleged entry into the American adult film industry have triggered a viral storm online. In search of reactions and views, photos and videos of Archita—who seemingly shot to fame overnight—are now widely circulated, from famous to unknown users.
However, the hot topic of discussion amid all this is a shocking one: there might be no real woman named Archita Phukan. She could be nothing but an internet-created illusion. Although, even that doesn’t come with concrete evidence—just as Assamese media has not yet been able to confirm the true identity of the alleged Assamese pornographic actress. No information has been found about her parents or hometown; everything remains shrouded in mystery.
Caught in that web of digital mystery, many social media users argue that Archita Phukan is not a real person but a highly attractive figure generated by AI in Kerala. Some have made hour-long YouTube videos detailing how segments of her videos clearly indicate signs of AI generation. Her still photos haven’t raised as much suspicion as her provocative videos have.
However, those claiming Archita is an AI-generated figure have no credible background in artificial intelligence research. So, most netizens are unwilling to accept the theory. They seem satisfied enough just scrolling through photos and videos of the soft-bodied babydoll. And all eyes remain on the supposed pornographic video shot in California by the “Assamese girl”. Unquestionably, the provocative photos uploaded regularly on Instagram—whether of a real body or an artificial one—keep netizens highly engaged. Her most recent photo, uploaded 21 hours ago to the “Babydoll Archi” account, has already received 183,471 reactions and 5,960 comments. The follower count is skyrocketing and has reached 918,000 as of today. Notably, one of her recent photos mentioned “Michigan, USA” as the location, indicating that she may still be in America.
Such is Archita’s allure that even mainstream Indian media has now taken notice. For the past week, Archita had set only social media abuzz—but for the last two days, national news outlets have also been swept up in the frenzy. At least 15 prominent media organizations have published stories on Archita, ranging from her alleged meeting with Kendra Lust to possible involvement in the U.S. porn industry. Reputable news houses like Anandabazar Patrika, News18, Hindustan Times, Moneycontrol, The Financial Express, RunIndia, News28, Bollywood Life, Mint, and Business Today, along with Jhum Bangla News, have featured her in the last two days.
Several reports even mention that Archita paid ₹25 lakh as compensation to leave a brothel—though to whom and why this payment was made remains unclear.
If we are to believe the website “Factnest Media”, which offers what it claims to be Archita’s backstory, she had a dark past. According to the site, Archita opens up chapter by chapter about her life—from her school years to her time at the famous red-light district of De Wallen in Amsterdam, where she allegedly worked as a seductive sex worker. But whether this “biography” is itself another illusion or a factual narrative remains unverified.
According to that version of her story, Archita was born on February 9, 1995, in a city in Assam. She identifies as a Brahmin girl. As a child, she reportedly learned classical dance from her mother, who was a choreographer, and Archita was a lead dancer. She studied at Little Flower School and Saltbrook Academy—both of which exist in Dibrugarh. Later, she continued her education in Guwahati and moved to Delhi in 2013. Though she enrolled at the College of Technology and Management in Palwal near Delhi, she dropped out after three years.
From there, she stepped into the modeling world. In 2015, a series of bad decisions and betrayals led her into depression and eventually into the world of escorting and sex work. She allegedly worked as a call girl in Mumbai. Her escape from that unbearable life came through a surprise phone call from a ‘madam’ of Amsterdam’s red-light district. Archita claims her modeling pictures had gained traction on Instagram, and that caught the attention of this madam. After a Skype call, she was invited to De Wallen and once again entered the world of sex work.

Eventually, she claims to have escaped from that dark life too. She went on to secure fifth place in Playboy Magazine’s “Lajari” model contest in 2023. This is where her narrative in Factnest Media ends. But the truthfulness of that story has not been independently verified.
If, as many claim, Archita isn’t a real person but rather an AI-generated illusion created to monetize attention on social media, then this so-called biography could very well be the prelude to the final illusion.
At this point, only time will tell.
