An Air India flight arriving from Hong Kong caught fire shortly after landing at Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi on Tuesday. Fortunately, no injuries were reported and all passengers and crew members are safe.

Flight AI 315, which landed safely and taxied to the gate, experienced a fire in its auxiliary power unit (APU) — a component that supplies power to the aircraft when its main engines are turned off. The incident occurred just as passengers were beginning to disembark.

Emergency response teams from Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) acted swiftly to contain the situation. The fire was quickly extinguished, and operations at the airport continued without major disruption.

In a brief statement, DIAL confirmed the fire had been brought under control and assured that all necessary safety measures were taken. The exact cause of the fire is still under investigation.
